Free time?

Free time it’s for me a category that   shouldn’t exist because life is a free time as long as you consider it like this. But I don’t mean you haven’t nothing to do with, on the contrary you can do all you want ,even study is something you choose, or you enjoy.

To me, go to the cinema, theater, even listen to music is as important as do the homework, or study for a test. Enjoy is something very important to me ,to discover every aspect of her, or at least to try .I couldn’t say that I love read because it’s doesn’t means very much, in fact I love some book, good readings  that allow me to travel or feel deferent things. Writers I really like are Cortázar  , Alejandro Dolina, Marcial Souto,Juan Luis Martines,and others.

Winter days makes me want to go out, go to see a movie, or to the theater, especially walk in the street after rain.

Claude Lévi-Strauss

Claude Lévi-Strauss(28 November 1908-30 October 2009)

This man is a French anthropologist and ethnologist. His famous book is Tristes Tropiques where he exposed that we called structuralist school of thought. He has the chair of social anthropology at the Collège de France(1959-1982),and he has been also a member of the Académie Francaise in 1973.

He was born to French parent who were living at the time in Belgium but he grew up in Paris,France.He studied law and philosophy at the Sorbonne ,then in 1935 he went to Brazil where he wrotes Tristes tropiques .

I really like this character because he represents a search that is not merely  an intellectual one but it’s about experiences too. It’s for me the real knowledge, fruit of curiosity .He probably illustrate the romantic search, the delivery to one culture when he studies it. Tristes tropiques  describes  every detail of the communities of the Amazonas in Bazil. Those  unknowed  places who make possible to imagined other kind of society, that take your sense of wonder far away. To know men through the man, which ,explain the importance of myth. I share the point of view that thought or academics disciplines are closer to poetry even art.

Music is important in life because sometimes it’s represent moments of life, or evokes different sensations. It accompanies you in a lot of moments, regardless of whether they are important or not. Like walk in the street or your love song.

I like different kind of music but in this moment I’m listening more rock, especially grunge, garage rock, and argentine rock. Groups like the White Stripes, Incubus, Nirvana, Charly Garcia, and Pescado Rabioso de Spinetta, Sumo. But i can’t say right know one only favorite Singer, maybe it’s Bjork , a Islanding Singer who give a concert   here in Santiago two years ago ,I don’t really like groups of pop or emo music.

I usually download the discography from internet of groups I like; I don’t like to have songs without the album their come from. However there are specials songs in my life like Capitan Beto of Spinetta or others. It‘ll be great could buy all originals albums but they are to expensive.

In conclusion music is as important as food to live.
